The project “BEAUTY IS GLOCAL, GLOBAL CANVAS, LOCAL COLORS” is the first step of the bigger project “OCA – Only Contemplating Awareness” that is born to accompany the Italian schools in the difficult path of the “human formation” of the children.
Il progetto “IL BELLO è GLOCAL, TELA GLOBALE, COLORI LOCALI” è il primo passo del progetto “OCA – Only Contemplating Awareness” che nasce dalla volontà di accompagnare le scuole nel difficile compito della “formazione umana” dei ragazzi.
Going through sensorial activities, relaxation techniques, arts and researches on ourselves and the on the world we live in, we will develop creative projects cooperating and exchanging with different and opposite realities with the goal of integrating differences and discovering new channels of personal expression.
Attraverso attività sensoriali, tecniche di rilassamento, le arti, la ricerca e l’osservazione di se stessi e del mondo che ci circonda, realizzeremo progetti creativi in collaborazione e scambio con realtà completamente diverse dalla nostra allo scopo di integrare le differenze e scoprire nuovi canali di espressione personale.

Meeting through senses means using sounds, colors, scents and flavors…all of it can be translated in one word: TRADITIONS!
Incontrarsi attraverso i sensi significa utilizzare suoni, colori, profumi e sapori…il tutto si traduce in una parola: TRADIZIONI!
Which better way to comprehend and integrate diversity, break down walls and borders than experiencing what we consider “different”?
Quale miglior modo di comprendere e integrare le diversità, abbattere i muri e i confini se non quello di fare esperienza di ciò che consideriamo “diverso”?
OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE:
Exploring traditions is the way we chose to create a new kind of exchange between children in India and Italy.
Ed è così che, attraverso la riscoperta delle nostre tradizioni, creiamo una nuova tipologia di contatto con le tradizioni di questo affascinante paese: L’india
The Italian school Bianco/Pascoli of Fasano will meet: D.M. Girls Orphanage Trust, Vimala Dermatological Center and House of Charity in India.
La Scuola Media Bianco/Pascoli di Fasano Italia incontra le scuole D.M. Girls
Orphanage Trust, Vimala Dermatological Center e House of Charity in India.
Italian children will teach Indian children a traditional dance “The Pizzica” and traditional dishes as Orecchiette, taralli and pasta; they will realize video tutarials and will send in India traditional dresses. The same will be done by Indian children who will teach us to make Chowpatty and Bharta and their traditional dances Bhangra e Dola Dola.
We will have a special video conference in which the two worlds will meet!
I ragazzi di Fasano insegneranno ai ragazzi indiani, attraverso la realizzazione di tutorial e video, il ballo della Pizzica e come preparare piatti tipici pugliesi quali le orecchiette, i taralli e la pasta. Dall’India impareremo a cucinare chapatis, Bharta e Raita e a danzare i loro balli tipici Bhangra e Dola Dola. Invieremo abiti tradizionali e porteremo in Italia gli abiti e le tradizioni indiane per arrivare ad un momento conclusivo nel quale, attraverso una video conferenza, faremo incontrare i “2 mondi”!
ITALY IN INDIA!
The Italian Institute of Culture of Mumbai has organized for us an official presentation of the Project in the Conference Hall of Italian Embassy of Mumbai! Then we started the EXPERIENCE OF EXCHANGING THROUGH SENSES!

L’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Mumbai ha organizzato per noi la presentazione del progetto presso il Consolato Italiano di Mumbai, India! Dopo di ché è INIZIATO LO SCAMBIO ATTRAVERSO I SENSI!
(La grafica della Presentazione è stata realizzata utilizzando i lavori artistici creati dagli alunni italiani durante l’esperienza dell’Arte Estemporanea!)

TORRE dell’OCA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SCHOOL OF FASANO (BR), HAS PUT THE FIRST BRICK IN THE DIFFICULT WORK OF INTEGRATING “NORMAL DIDACTICS” WITH: PERSONAL AWARENESS, DISCOVERING PERSONAL TALENTS, FREE EMOTIONS AND THE MEETING WITH OTHERS THROUGH SENSES!
L’associazione Torre dell’OCA IN COLLABORAZIONE CON LA SCUOLA DI FASANO (BR), HA MESSO IL PRIMO MATTONE NEL DIFFICILE COMPITO DI INTEGRARE ALLA “NORMALE DIDATTICA” UN LAVORO MIRATO ALL’ESPRESSIONE DEI POTENZIALI DEL SINGOLO INDIVIDUO ATTRAVERSO LA RISCOPERTA DEI TALENTI PERSONALI, DELLE EMOZIONI E DELL’INCONTRO CON L’ALTRO ATTRAVERSO I SENSI!

Thanks to this precious contacts we have had the chance of testing our first experimentation in Italy and then in India giving us the opportunities of new collaborations between schools and associations in Italy and in other countries around the world!
Grazie a questi preziosi contatti siamo entrati nel vivo della sperimentazione prima in Italia e poi in India aprendo così la strada a nuove collaborazioni tra scuole e associazioni italiane ed estere!
Thanks to the help of Dr. Sauro Mezzetti the Chairman of Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chennai and Embassy Honorary Agent in Pondicherry, we had the chance to visit a list of schools in Auroville and learn from them new approaches to school education!

Grazie al prezioso aiuto di Sauro Mezzetti Presidente della Camera di Commercio Indo-Italiana di Chennai e Agente Consolare Onorario per Pondicherry, abbiamo avuto l’occasione di visitare alcune scuola ad Auroville ed osservare i loro metodi di istruzione innovativi, improntati non solo sulle tecnologie ma soprattutto sull’individuo, la natura e sulla crescita personale.

IMPORTANT ACHIEVED RESULTS:
- All Class Teachers have been involved and collaborated with enthusiasm! The English language, the music, the dance, the cooking, arts, researches, Global competences, e-commerce, international commerce, technologies…all have been important elements for the results of the project.
- Working together using senses on a project of exchange has created new interactions and sharing. There has been a radical change in the climax, in empathy, in closeness, in collaboration, in comprehension between the class children and between children and class teachers.
- Parents of the children have been involved actively in many phases of the project.
- The collaboration with external professionals and with the territory had developed new alliances.
- Thanks to the contacts we developed, on 19th of February 2018, during the Digital Day in Italy, the Italian School Bianco/Pascoli – Fasano, could exchange, through a video conference call, competences on technologies with the Udavi School of Auroville in India!

THE PROJECT “BEAUTY IS GLOCAL, GLOBAL CANVAS, LOCAL COLORS” HAS DEMONSTRATED HOW HAVING A NEW APPROACH IN DEVELOPING SCHOOL’S EXCHANGE PROJECTS CAN OPEN NEW HORIZONS OF COMMUNICATION AND COMPREHENSION OF OURSELVES AND OTHERS!
NOTE IMPORTANTI SUI RISULTATI OTTENUTI ALL’INTERNO DELLA CLASSE 3°D GIACINTO BIANCO:
- Tutto il Consiglio di Classe ha collaborato attivamente e con entusiasmo! L’inglese, la musica, la danza, la cucina, l’arte, la ricerca, lo sviluppo di competenze Globali e conoscenze di e-commerce e dei meccanismi di commercio internazionale, la tecnologia, tutti elementi fondamentali per la riuscita del progetto!
- Ritrovarsi a vivere e creare insieme un progetto di scambio utilizzando i sensi ha creato nuovi spazi di confronto e condivisione. C’è stato un radicale cambiamento del clima, dell’empatia, della vicinanza, della collaborazione, della comprensione tra i ragazzi e tra gli alunni e il Corpo Docenti della classe.
- I genitori della classe hanno collaborato attivamente in diverse fasi del progetto
- La collaborazione con professionisti esterni e con il territorio ha sviluppato nuove alleanze.
- Grazie all’esperienza realizzata con il progetto “IL BELLO È GLOCAL…”, il 19 gennaio 2018, durante il Digital Day, la scuola Bianco/Pascoli di Fasano (BR) ha potuto realizzare una Video Conferenza ed uno scambio di competenze digitali con la scuola Udavi, Auroville, in India! CON QUEST’ULTIMO CONTATTO ABBIAMO TOCCATO CON MANO ANCHE IL POTENZIALE DI SVILUPPO NEL TEMPO DEL PROGETTO!
CON PROGETTO “IL BELLO è GLOCAL, TELA GLOBALE, COLORI LOCALI” ABBIAMO DIMOSTRATO COME APRIRSI ALLA SCOPERTA DI UN NUOVO MODO DI AVVICINARSI E SVILUPPARE PROGETTI DI SCAMBIO, PUÒ APRIRE NUOVI ORIZZONTI DI COMUNICAZIONE E COMPRENSIONE DI SE STESSO E DELL’ALTRO!
